TIMELINE TEMPLATE
When do you need a timeline when planning an event? ALWAYS.
Timelines may vary depending on the event requirements. An event that requires a lot of time to plan and has many elements requires significant detail whereas a smaller event may only require a one page summary of main checkpoints.
The timeline is your critical path and it will need to be reviewed regularly to ensure all checkpoints are completed on time (and budget). You will need to cross-reference your budget from your event plan.
Each event may require a different set of major tasks. We have included a sample that was used for a cross-country road show/product launch to almost 900 employees across 8 cities.
The timeline and specific tasks may need to be reworked to specifically correspond with your event requirements but the attached PDF will provide you with the main components for most events.
NOTE: The download contains both a PDF and Word document version.
