The Devil Wears Details

The devil wears details. In events there is no one to blame but the event planner. You live and die by the details. If you are diligent, and you plan profusely, you will (most likely) celebrate a successful event. But, if you let even the most innocuous detail slip through the cracks, you will pay the price dearly.
To the naked eye (non-event planner) the missed detail may not be as obvious but if you want to feel as though you've done a fantastic job for your client/guests, you need perfection. Your details, facts, plans, locations and times must be checked and double checked - including written confirmation of all information.
As event planners we rely on many people to carry out our tasks successfully. But, as we know too well, we can trust no one! Unless we validate our information we can always anticipate problems, changes and/or a lack of cooperation. And even when you HAVE correctly detailed and confirmed information, there is a chance that someone has not done their part (despite their confirmation to the contrary). That is the true test of event planners everywhere; specifically how do you manage on-site issues without letting them see you sweat? You must be prepared and flexible to accommodate any and all issues.
Excellent events require excellent planning and to plan effectively you need excellent guidelines. Please visit our event planning website (www.realeventtools.com) and take advantage of our expert event planning templates to help you plan your next incredible event.
