Live by the budget, die by the budget. The timeline and budget are similar in the sense that they both must be met for each and every event. That is a regular expectation for any client or any event.

Your budget projections are very important and they should be based on either precedents and/or actual estimates. Every event budget looks different depending on the type of event, i.e. golf tournaments, tradeshows, charity events, corporate launches, etc., but there are some standard costs that appear in most events.

It is also important to track actual expenses versus your projections to (hopefully) boast of a positive variance. Being on budget is expected. Being under budget is impressive, especially when providing accurate and reasonable projections!

The attached budget sample was used for a corporate event of approx. 50 customers. The event included a small trade-fair and a guest speaker. Please contact us if you require budget samples for a specific type of event.
